Grubbs has teasers out about their plans to open at the defunct York Avenue Kitchen. It’s not the only restaurant on this short stretch of York raising hopes and expectations.

We’re also looking forward to a Filipino place. Who knows when? The only question besides that that I have is why here? Bilbao on 1st & 74th just went out of business. Is this location more receptive to Filipino cuisine?

(Looks like in my anticipation and eagerness, I have several questions.)

As I think back on it, Kossars and its impishly paired Miss Wonton took a long time in coming.
