If you started a sports team, what would the colors and mascot be?
Someone might choose this yellow and this blue / green. Mind you, not I. Nor would I make the team rep be a muskrat.

What was the last thing you did for play or fun?
This is it, shooting pix as I toodle around my neighborhood. This set of photos presented after a nice lunch with a friend.
(We favor a Mexican place, but each of my friends and I tend to gravitate towards one or a few specific restaurants.)

Taking pictures, eating ice cream, and sharing this minutiae with you.
For a more nuanced gawk at architecture, I refer you to the original predecessor of this site, The Sidewalk Super blog..
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
That I am obsessive? That these days I get up extra early?

Is this the hunter moon?
What makes a good neighbor?

What could you try for the first time?
Last week, I passed Remi 43, a flower coffee bar I regretted not trying an exotic rose latte.
What’s better than a second chance?
I chose an even more exotic sounding lavender matcha latte. It was fine but not quite strange enough.

What things give you energy?
The river. The sky. The sunset. The rooftops. A cup of coffee.

Which topics would you like to be more informed about?
“Gawking at buildings,” that’s how I described my hobby to my future husband even before we met.
It’s something I truly enjoy, but alas do it with only a dilletante’s understanding.
I think this facade is a treat. Love the balcony [half-balc] and then the decoration over the windows. And oh yes, the turret* [is it] at the top? (I believe it houses a water tower. I like water towers.)

The little balconies are generally called Juliet in honor of the heroine in Shakespeare’s play.
I know something, it’s just not enough to feel like I know!
What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

This post is for my dear friend ACJ, who famously asked, “What’s with the cranes?”
The cranes are turning my city into a Dubai or Singapore.
International architects make the international landscape a uniform sight. Tall sometimes glassy sometimes granitine buildings can be spotted all over the city map.
What is your favorite drink?
Water goes so well with a walk. I am actually partial to drinking the carbonated version.
The bubbles make me feel all sparkly.

Describe your most ideal day from beginning to end.
