Pictures from my day

Left to right from top to bottom:

Jacob’s Pickles was so crowded (and this a weekday!) that we were obliged to take outdoor seating. This was fine until the breezes picked up around 2pm.

Related but no relation, a poster for pickleball reservations at the Westside Presbyterian Church, aka Inclusion Hall.

The space inviting the inclusion is ironically a Romanesque fortress. Not sure why that was my p.o.v. as I passed, admiring the events posted at the circumference.

The light of the sky obliterated the twinkly blue lights on the tree at Eleven E 86th. I intended to cite this as an example of holiday decorations around town. Oh well. Examples are photos 12 & 13, then 18 through 21 above.

Skyline views of selected UWS streets bring us Loyola School (12, 13) on Park at 83rd. I am flummoxed that I had not heard of this school til today. Surely I have walked this part of town  before. 🤔

Enjoy your walks.

Happy new year.

Piqued my interest

It’s a design touch that reminds me of vacationing at motels. The stairs lead to a common pathway for both entries.

The walkway is raised, hiding access to the disposal area for the buildings.

There are two sets of these, one address away from each other, so four walk-up homes all in all.
