At about this time, I promise myself not to succumb to the pull of the macabre. The rise of the undead, of pumpkin heads and skeletons is indigenous to the fall celebration. Trick or treat means candy-infused tummy aches to the young goblins. To older ones, it means decorating their steps with creepy.

This was part of a parade of boats going both on motor and hoisted sails today.
I had not been at the big park on the East River Esplanade in at least two years.
Things have certainly changed.
It’s beautifully laid out. The grass attracts the kids whose parents are challenged to find access to it.

What’s better than a second chance?
I chose an even more exotic sounding lavender matcha latte. It was fine but not quite strange enough.
