Intruding your sounds on others is denying their right to quiet. If people were respectful of others, we would not need all the bylaws and equipment to keep people “in line.”

Yes. It is a public safety issue. As is the new noise camera. This one is meant to deter excessive noise pollution on our city streets.
Very noble goals that erode our privacy. You might say that those who don’t keep their speed to a limit or avoid disturbing their neighbors need to be kept in check for the common good.
You would be right, but right doesn’t mean we aren’t trodding on another’s rights.
It’s a thorny debate.
